Located @ 4156 Meadville Road, on the corner of Dix Drive, approximately 2 miles north of Liberty. This arena has long serviced the needs of the youth and adult cowboys, and cowgirls, of Amite County and the surrounding area. Established in 1967, and named for Mr. Charles Reid, one of the organizers and long-time president and supporter of the club, the Amite County Riding Club has hosted an annual July rodeo, youth rodeos, team roping and horse shows, many of the events benefiting a needy family or charity. Having been awarded “Tri-State” rodeo of the year many, many times, the Amite County Riding Club and Charles Reid Memorial Arena are well known among rodeo and equestrian enthusiasts.
